KBSH-TV, in Hays, won six awards including three firsts, two seconds and an honorable mention and was named the Station Of The Year in the Non Metro Television Market category. KBSD-TV, in Dodge City, won eight awards including two firsts, three seconds and three honorable mentions in the Non Metro category.
The KWCH-TV first place winners were: Prime Newscast, won by the Eyewitness News Staff; News Feature/Enterprise Story, won by Megan Strader and Brian Gordon; Weathercast, won by Ross Janssen; Station Promotion Announcement, won by Shawn Hilferty, Stephanie Huff, Annette Lawless, Eddie Gilmore and Michelle Loss; Station Promotion Campaign, again win by Hilferty, Huff, Lawless, Gilmore and Loss; and Station Web site, won by Hilferty, Keli McDonough, Dan Rivers, John Boyd, Chris Durden, James Luce and Anthony Smith. The second place award came in the Station Promotion Announcement Category and was again won by the team of Hilferty, Huff, Lawless, Gilmore and Loss.
Grant Meech won three of the KBSH-TV awards, a first and a second in the News Feature/Enterprise category and a first in the In-Depth News Reporting category. Skyler Butler almost made a complete sweep of the Commercial, Any Length category for KBSH-TV by taking a first, a tie for second and an honorable mention.
