SCHURZ COMMUNICATIONS FOUNDATION
Supporting the organizations that strengthen our communities.
CONNECTED COMMUNITIES. STRONGER FUTURES.
LEGACY ROOTED.
South Bend Tribune Charities was founded in 1940 by Franklin D. Schurz, F.A. Miller, and Charles E. Crockett. The impact of that foundation has continued under the South Bend Tribune Foundation, and now the Schurz Communications Foundation.
Future Focused.
The purpose of the Schurz Communications Foundation is to provide assistance for capital and endowment campaigns for non-profit organizations in the communities served by the local companies that make up Schurz Communications. The majority of the Schurz Communications Foundation’s efforts focus on the areas of the arts, education, and human services.
